Paul McAnespie


Qualifying as a Staff Nurse in 1997, Paul has worked in the field of intellectual disabilities nursing for over 20 years. Obtaining a Post Graduate Degree in Behaviours that Challenge in 2006, he has been involved in meeting the complex medical and mental health needs of individuals in care and utilising his expertise to help support positive changes in the client population.

Paul has gained extensive experience in working as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team in the support of individuals with dual diagnosis and behavioural issues. Paul adopted the role of Senior Staff Nurse in 2021’

His background and knowledge of health assessments and the complexities of behaviour have proved supportive in aiding the recovery of our patient population. Paul has also integrated his lifelong musical skills in facilitating regular group music therapy sessions within the clinic which has proved both rewarding and motivational in the recovery of the patient population.
